# Set up Biometric verification

## 1. Start biometric verification

1. Go to **Profile**
2. Select **Biometric verification**
3. Tap **Start verification**

### What to expect

* You will be asked to use your **camera**
* Your face will be recorded for identity verification
* The result may be reviewed by your organization

## 2. Allow camera access

If prompted:

1. Tap **Go to settings**
2. Enable **Camera permission**
3. Return to Oten Pass and continue

👉 Camera access is required to complete verification

## 3. Complete liveness check

1. Position your face inside the frame
2. Look straight at the camera
3. Follow on-screen instructions

👉 The system will check that you are a real person (liveness check)

### Tips for best results

* Stay in a well-lit environment
* Keep your face clearly visible
* Avoid sunglasses, masks, or obstructions
* Hold your device steady

## 4. Processing your verification

After completing the scan:

* The system will process your biometric data
* This may take a few seconds

## 5. Verification under review

After processing:

* Your verification may be **reviewed by your organization’s administrator**

You will see:

> “Verification under review”

### What can you do?

* Copy the request link to follow up with your admin (if available)
* Return to Home

## 6. Verification result

### Success

If approved:

* Your biometric verification is completed
* You can now use biometric for verification

### Failed

If verification fails:

* You will see **“Verification failed”**
* Tap **Try again** to restart

## 7. Troubleshooting

### Camera access is denied

* Go to device settings
* Enable camera permission
* Restart verification

### Session expired

* Tap **Try again**
* Restart the verification process

### Liveness check failed

* Make sure your face is clearly visible
* Improve lighting conditions
* Try again

### Verification stuck in review

* Wait for your organization to review
* Contact your admin if needed

## 8. Important notes

* Your biometric data may be reviewed by your organization
* Verification is required before using biometric for security actions
* This process cannot be skipped if required
* Make sure you complete verification in one session
