# Change Your Password

## 1. Verify Your Identity

Before you can change your password, Oten Pass will confirm that it is really you.

#### Option 1: Verify with your current password

1. Go to **Profile**
2. Select **Password**
3. Enter your current password
4. Tap **Continue**

#### Option 2: Verify with another method

Depending on your organization’s security settings, you may be able to verify using:

* Passkey
* Authenticator (OTP)
* Biometric verification
* Security key
* Other approved verification methods

#### Forgot your current password?

Tap **Forgot password?** to reset your password instead.

## 2. Set Your New Password

1. Enter your new password
2. Confirm your new password
3. Ensure all password requirements are met
4. Tap **Continue**

#### Password requirements (depending on your organization’s policy settings)

Example your password must include:

* At least 8 characters
* At least 1 uppercase letter
* At least 1 lowercase letter
* At least 1 number
* At least 1 special character

## 3. Choose What Happens to Your Active Sessions

After entering your new password, choose how existing sessions should be handled.

#### Sign out from all devices (Recommended)

Signs you out of every device, including your current device.

#### Sign out from other devices

Keeps you signed in on this device and signs out all other devices.

#### Stay signed in on all devices

Keeps all current sessions active.

## 4. Complete the Password Change

1. Select your preferred session option
2. Tap **Change password**
3. Your new password takes effect immediately

## 5. Security Recommendations

We recommend changing your password if:

* You suspect someone knows your password
* You notice suspicious activity
* Your organization requests a password update
* Your password may have been exposed

For better protection:

* Use a strong, unique password
* Enable passkey
* Enable multi-factor authentication
* Review your recent activity regularly

## 6. Troubleshooting

#### I forgot my current password

Use **Forgot password?** on the verification screen.

#### My new password is rejected

Check that all password requirements are satisfied.

#### I was signed out after changing my password

This is expected if you selected a sign-out option.

#### Which session option should I choose?

If you are unsure, select **Sign out from all devices (Recommended)**.

## 7. Important Notes

* Changing your password does not remove passkeys or other authentication methods.
* Your organization may enforce additional password policies.
* Signing out from all devices is the safest option if you suspect unauthorized access.
