# Approve or reject a request

## 1. Receive a request

When a request is sent to you:

* You will see a notification
* Or a request card on the **Home screen**

Tap **Review now** or open the request.

## 2. Review request details

Before taking action, check:

* **App name**
* **Requestor**
* **Device & location**
* **Time of request**

👉 Only approve if the request is from you

## 3. Take action

You have two options:

* **Verify (Approve)**
* **Decline**

### ❌ Decline a request

Tap **Decline** if:

* You did not initiate the request
* The request looks suspicious

👉 The request will be rejected immediately

### ✅ Verify (Approve a request)

Tap **Verify** to continue with identity verification

## 4. Complete verification

You may be asked to verify your identity using one of the following methods:

### Step 1: Number matching (required)

1. A number will be shown on another device
2. Select the matching number on your screen

👉 This confirms the request is yours

### Step 2: Verify using one method

After number matching, continue verification using one of the available methods.

#### Option 1: Passkey

1. Confirm using:
   * Face ID
   * Fingerprint
   * Device passcode

👉 Verification completes instantly

#### Option 2: Biometric (liveness)

1. Look at the camera
2. Complete the liveness check

👉 Used for higher-security actions

#### Option 3: Authenticator (OTP)

1. Enter the **6-digit code**

👉 You can get the code from:

* Oten Pass Authenticator
* Another authenticator app

### Use another method

If needed:

* Tap **Try another way**
* Select a different verification method

## 5. Request status

### 👤 Case 1: You verify your own request

You are the one completing the verification.

#### Status flow

* **Pending verification**\
  → The request is waiting for you to complete verification
* **Verified**\
  → You successfully completed verification
* **Declined**\
  → You chose to reject the request
* **Validation failed**\
  → Verification was attempted but failed
* **Expired**\
  → The request was not completed in time

### 👥 Case 2: Request requires approval from another user

Someone else must approve and complete verification.

#### Status flow

* **Waiting for approval**\
  → The request is waiting for another user to review
* **Approved**\
  → The request was approved and verification was completed successfully
* **Declined**\
  → The request was rejected by the approver
* **Validation failed**\
  → The approver attempted verification but failed
* **Expired**\
  → The request was not completed in time

## 6. Troubleshooting

### I didn’t initiate this request

* Tap **Decline** immediately
* Do not approve unknown requests

### Verification failed

* Try again
* Or use another method

### OTP code is invalid

* Wait for a new code
* Enter again

### I can’t complete verification

* Tap **Try another way**
* Use a different method

### Request expired

* Start the action again
* Request a new verification

## 7. Important notes

* Never approve requests you do not recognize
* Always verify request details before approving
* Some methods may be required by your organization
* Requests expire after a short time
