# Quota & Policy

### Overview <a href="#id-1.-your-dashboard" id="id-1.-your-dashboard"></a>

This is where the Organization Admin can view an overview of the API Platform, from quota usage to setting shared policies that all Workspaces can use based on allocation.

### Your dashboard <a href="#id-1.-your-dashboard" id="id-1.-your-dashboard"></a>

Quota information available to the Organization:

| What you see | What it means? |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Organization API call quota** | Total API calls your organization can make this month |
| **Allocated to Workspaces** | Calls made so far and percentage of total quota |
| **Remaining (Available)** | The number of remaining calls, based on the total quota and the number of calls already used |
| **Organization encryption key quota** | All keys across all workspaces |

### Global policy setting

This is where the Organization Admin sets shared policies for all Workspaces to follow:

The **Global Default Policy** is your standard baseline — applies to every workspace without a custom setting.

| Setting | What it controls? |
| ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------- |
| **Default quota / workspace** | API calls per workspace per month |
| **Default max encrypted keys / workspace** | How many API keys each workspace can create |
| **Default Rate Limit** (RPM/RPH/RPD) | Speed limit per minute, hour, and day |

### Edit mode

Organization Admin **must follow** the Organization’s current quota limits, including the number of API calls and the maximum number of encryption keys that can be created across Workspaces. This ensures the global rules can be applied correctly.
