# API Platform

### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

You are a Workspace Admin. API Platform lets you create **API keys** — secure credentials that allow your applications to connect to Oten KMS without using anyone’s personal login account.

Use this guide when you need to: create or revoke an API key, set or adjust usage limits for a key, or monitor and troubleshoot API activity in your workspace.

### FAQ <a href="#faq" id="faq"></a>

**Q: I forgot to copy the secret key. What do I do?**\
Revoke the key and create a new one — save the secret immediately before closing the screen next time.

**Q: My application is getting rate limit errors.**\
Check the Rate Limit screen — see which time window is exceeded. Wait for the reset, or contact your Org Admin for a higher workspace ceiling.

**Q: I tried to raise a key’s limit but it won’t save.**\
The value exceeds the ceiling your Org Admin set. Contact your Org Admin to request a higher limit.

**Q: My workspace is suspended.**\
Your Org Admin temporarily disabled API Platform for your workspace. Contact your Org Admin to resume.
