# Sign in with Email and Password

### Scope <a href="#scope" id="scope"></a>

This document describes how users **sign in to an existing account** using **Email and Password**, including any **additional security verification steps** such as MFA or Passkey authentication.

Once an account has been created, **all users sign in using the same primary method: Email and password**.

#### Purpose <a href="#purpose" id="purpose"></a>

This guide helps users understand:

* How to sign in using email and password
* What additional security verification may be required
* What happens after a successful sign-in

#### Prerequisites <a href="#prerequisites" id="prerequisites"></a>

Before signing in, make sure that:

* Your account has already been created
* You know your registered email address and password
* You have access to your email or authentication device if additional verification is enabled

#### **1. Sign In with Email and Password** <a href="#id-1.-sign-in-with-email-and-password" id="id-1.-sign-in-with-email-and-password"></a>

**Step 1** : Open the [**Sign in**](https://account.oten.live/login) page.

**Step 2 :** Enter your email address and password.

**Step 3** : Click button **Sign In**.

#### 2. Additional Security Verification (If Enabled) <a href="#id-2.-additional-security-verification-if-enabled" id="id-2.-additional-security-verification-if-enabled"></a>

> If you have enabled [**Multi-factor authentication (MFA)** ](https://silvertiger.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QD/pages/193266188)or **Passkey authentication**, an additional verification step is required after entering your email and password.

**Option A: Authenticator App (MFA)**

* Select **Authenticator** as the verification method.

* Open your authenticator app on your mobile phone or iPad.

* Enter the verification code displayed in the app.

* Sign-in is completed automatically once the verification code is validated.

**Option B: Email verification**

* Select **Email** as the verification method.

* Check your email inbox for the verification message.

* Enter the verification code provided.

* Sign-in is completed automatically verification code is validated.

**Option C: Passkey verification**

* Default **Passkey** as the verification method.

* Click button **Continue**
* Verify your identity using a registered passkey.

* Follow the on-screen instructions provided by your device to complete verification.

#### 3. Result <a href="#id-3.-result" id="id-3.-result"></a>

You will be redirected to your account dashboard after successful **sign-in**.

* Email verification is required only once.
* Both sign-in methods remain available after account creation.
* If you forget your password, use the [**Forgot password**](https://silvertiger.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QD/pages/193265992) option.
